Back it up

Good news!  We are going to Colorado!  In preparation, Mommy and Daddy hooked me up with my own backpack.  We think this could be a replacement for the Baby blah blah blah (baby bjorn to some of you) that I usually take to the airport.  This thing is pretty comfy.  We hiked about 3 miles on Sunday in the heat.  Mommy is a super trooper.

Umm.. Why would you have held out on me?  After our great hike, we stopped for a "Slurpee".  It was heaven.  I think we should hike every Sunday. 

Cousins make it that much better

My Aunt Nikki and Uncle Dustin and my cousins, Logan, Donny, and Skyla all came to Texas for a little road trip.  When we go there, my mom and daddy are always in a rush so I really really enjoyed myself with them at MY house.  Cousin Logan really enjoyed Daddy's game room so I didn't see much of him, but Donovan and I are soul mates, I know it.

Daddy sure thought Skyla was cute.  I told her to stay off my Daddy several times.

We had the most fun on my treadmill.  This is my favorite new game.  Daddy makes me put my hands up to keep my fingers from getting pinched.

Since all the daddies were playing ping-pong without us, we decided to chill in the pool.  Which brings up another good point....I NEED a bigger pool!

Good Friends. Good Times.

Weekends spent with good old friends are simply the best.  This weekend was no exceptions.  We spent the weekend in Arkansas with our good friend, Uncle Krepps, and his super cool girlfriend, Ms Heather.  Uncle Krepp's dog, Kaiser, was so good too.  Not bad for a dog not used to little people.     

So, Uncle Krepps has been working on his pilots license for the past year.  I am not big enough to go yet, but maybe someday.  Mommy and Daddy each took a turn going up.  They wouldn't go up together because they didn't want to risk leaving me a total orphan.  Really?

On Saturday night, we decided to hit the county fair and see how the locals live it up.  I loved the animals with Daddy, but the big cows were a little scary.

On Sunday we went to a nearby lake so I could show off my cute swimsuit figure and my mad swimming skills.  Yes sir, this is the LIFE!

My New Favorite Place

I know what you are thinking, and no, it is not the cabinet next to the tupperware.  It is Mimi and Papa's new lake house!  I got to go this weekend for the first time and my Mimi and Papa, and Aunt Christie and Uncle Greg, and of course Nicholas were all there to hang out with. 

Even though I slept in the closet, I didn't have any trouble sleeping because I was so super busy all day.  I just past out at night and naptime.  Mommy was so super happy about that one.  Before I put you to sleep, here are my favorite pictures....

Me on the boat.  Did you notice my super cool new life jacket?  That's from Papa.  He even got me one with pixies on it for when I get a bit bigger. 

My cousin Nicholas is getting more and more fond of me now that I can keep up a bit better.  Ah, I could just watch him for hours.

It wouldn't be a good trip without hanging out in the dog kennel!

The start of a good weekend...

I even got to show off my new water skills by swimming a bit in the lake.  Everyone was quite impressed with me.

I also got to go fishin' for my first time.  Mommy caught the first fish and Daddy caught the biggest.  Mommy even let me help reel in the bobber.  I like the slimy little guys. 

Then I even got to drive the boat home.  I am a natural!

But can you guess my favorite part of the boat? 

Great Granparent Adventure July 2010

I love the 4th of July.  For the 2nd year in a row, we went up to St. Louis for the big weekend.  It could not have been more hectic, busy, crowded, and just all around wonderful.  I was able to see all of my great Great Grandparents.  These folks have just a whole other layer of love.  I also got to see my Grandma and Grandpa Rabbitt and all my super cool cousins.  Thanks for having me in St. Louie!  I can't wait to go back!

I stayed with my Aunt Maggie, and she had these BEAUTIFUL flowers!  Mommy and Daddy and I hung out on the patio with our coffee just relaxing.

On Saturday morning, we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Rabbitt's house.  I had my first trip to their pool. Have I mentioned that I love swimming?

Next we went over to Grandma Mattingly's Birthday party.  She is 80, can I just say that seems old even to a big girl like me. 

On Sunday morning, we went to Great Grandma Jaggi's house in St. Peters.  Guess it is too much to ask to get everyone in a 5 mile radius, right?  Anyway, Grandma Jaggi is doing good.  She is back at home and recovering from her stupid chemo ok.  Aunt Suzie was in town from California and made us some lip smackin' ribs and good ole bbq food.  So glad that I got to meet Aunt Suzie.  I tried to convince her to marry off her boys so I can get a free trip to Cali!

Last but certainly not least, we went down to Rolla to see Great Grandma Smart, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mike, and family and of course Katie and Logan.  I know what your thinking, "this girl gets around."  I know, it was busy.  But I couldn't wait to help Logan learn to walk like me.  I showed him how to practice on Grandma's walker and I think he is going to be running around very soon.
