Hikin'

Our last day in CO, Mommy and Daddy and I all went for a nice long hike.  Just to reconnect, yah know?  It was just so...umm..maybe not exciting...maybe relaxing...

Ok, after my little cat nap (over an hour of head bobbing around back there).  I finally was awake enough to try this out for myself.

I know this looks a bit weird, but it is pretty comfy.  I mean, better than walking 5 miles up a mountain, right?
I was so hoping for a moose here, but no such luck.
"Smelling" the flowers.

I Summitted

So at 18 months, I think it was about time for me to take on a 14'er.  Since I don't know how to ride a bike and i don't think I could walk a mile, I decided to drive up my first one.  Actually, this is the highest paved road in the US and I road up it.  I may have gotten a bit of vertigo, but the view was AMAZING!

Mommy's Fish

So I got to spend a whole day with my Mimi and Pappa.  What did my parents do?  They went on a fly fishing trip down the Colorado River.  Umm..Whatever.  Nothing is cooler than hanging out with Mimi and Pappa.  However, I thought I would post this pic as a shout out to my Great Pappa Mattingly.  I think he would be proud of Mommy.   Nice Fish!

Umm..These Just Speak For Themselves

While The Cats Away

I got to spend a little extra quality time with my Aunt Christy and Cousin Nicholas on this trip.  We took a little hike around the lake to see some sort of "look out point".  Let me tell you, I saw nothing, but my new favorite friends, CHIPMUNKS!  The lake was pretty and all, but these things are everywhere.  When we left, don't worry, I said, "bye bye Chipmunk!"

Ok, later that day we all went to do my other favorite thing.  Throw Rocks! Aunt Christie even let Nicholas get a bit dirty.  Mommy and I were very proud of her!  Nicholas kept picking up the bigger rocks....soooo I had to as well!  I want to be just like Nicholas.

As if all of that wasn't enough fun, we then went to playground the very next day!  This place had a great slide which is basically the only playground equipment that I utilized, but Nicholas used everything twice for the both of us.

Chugga Chugga Chugga Chugga...CHOO CHOO

It was a bit cloudy and rainy today so we all decided to check out a quick train ride from Georgetown to Silver Plume.  I played it cool, but it was maybe the most fun EVER!!  Can I just say..."Ride Choo Choo!"

Do you see how Mimi and Papa like to dress like their grandkids?  Is that sort of like folks starting to look like their dogs?
This is the look of wonder in Nicholas's eyes when the train drove up.

Rocks, Rocks, and Rocks

Did you know how many rocks there are in Colorado?  I didn't either!  I have spent the whole day pointing out each and everyone to Mommy.  I like the BIG rocks, and the little rocks, and throwing the rocks.  Papa took us down to the stream on Saturday night to throw some rocks in the stream.

I am a super tough chick let me tell you. See my hands in the water?  That is about 40 F.  Mommy was over there with Goose bumps and I was cool.  Warm blooded like my Daddy.

Colorado or Bust

Well Mommy and me finally made it to Colorado yesterday afternoon.  It was just a short flight where I was a total angel (as usual).  Mimi and Papa met us at the airport and we were off to the mountains!  This place is gorgeous, flowers everywhere.  I am not sure what mountains are, but it is my favorite new word.  Aunt Christie, Uncle Greg, and Nicholas all were there when we got there!  Yeah!

Flower!
Since my Daddy isn't here yet, no one told Mommy to not let me get wet in the fountain at Vail.  Yes, I had to get my clothes changed, but it was totally worth it!

Next we all went to lunch.  Uncle Greg got to sit by me!

After lunch we headed up the mountain by hiking 5 miles...Just kidding, we took the Gondla.  It was the most exciting thing ever...

No worries, I did finally get to see it!
